Flood Shields

FLOOD LOG™ The Flood Log is a modular system of flood shields designed to withstand high velocity water loads and to be highly resistant to heavy impact forces. It is particularly applicable to flash flood and hurricane prone locations in both small and large installations. Flood Protection

FLOOD PROTECTION FACTS Flooding is the overflow of excess water from a water body onto adjacent lands. FEMA more specifically defines a flood as a general and temporary condition of partial or complete inundation of normally dry land areas from (1) the overflow of inland or tidal waters or (2) the unusual and rapid accumulation or runoff of surface waters from any source. One or more water bodies can contribute to flooding at a given site — a river, stream, ocean, bay, lake, pond, storm water retention/detention area, etc. — depending on local topography and hydraulic/hydrologic conditions.

Flood Panels

FLOOD PANEL™ Flood Panel is a solid removable flood barrier system ideal for single or double door applications. It is engineered to withstand hurricane forces and floodwater hydrostatic impacts. Each panel is specifically engineered to the full “designed flood elevation” (height required), and is edged with a rubber gasket. The panels themselves are connected to the floor and sides of each opening or each other by preinstalled anchors and through-bolts.

Flood Doors

The Flood Panel Pedestrial Flood Door (also known as man doors) performs essentially like a normal pedestrian door. However, it has been internally reinforced and has a mechanical sealing mechanism housed within the frame to give a leak-free seal when fully closed. The Flood Door is an active flood barrier 24 hours a day. This is ideal for flash flood and critical infrastructure locations, and especially for customers who are looking for “no worry” flood protection solution.

Flood barriers, also known as flood shields and flood panels, are designed to protect different kinds of openings from damage caused by floodwater inundation. Flood barriers are designed to be quickly installed and to provide a watertight seal for openings. Each opening may require a different protection design.
